Dad’s Pick: Stan Freberg - “Christmas Dragnet”

 

We had this record when I was a kid and I would play it over and over. It came out long before even I was born, and I don’t have any recollection where it came from. It’s a fun record that was a parody of show called “Dragnet”, a procedural cop show that followed the cases of no-nonsense Sgt. Joe Friday of the LAPD. You don’t need to know anything about that to enjoy this great recording though. And it taught me what a scallion is, so it’s educational too! I hope you like it!
